Vote For Me

So, I recently decided to take on the challenge of running for Homecoming Queen. And I say challenge because I am definitely not the kind of girl that runs for Homecoming Queen. So, why am I running, you ask? And I guess the answer is, I want to see if you have to be that "kind of girl."

The kind of girl I'm talking about...
The cute, cheerleader with the popstar attitude who knows everyone and everyone knows her. I do not fit this description.. Save the cute part. Because let's face it. I'm extremely cute.

But I'm still, not that "kind of girl." Instead, I'm the kind of girl that runs for prestigious officer positions, like President of Literati or PR Director of the Russian Club. I'm the kind of girl that gets full-ride scholarships, is a member of the Oklahoma Academic Scholars and the kind of girl that makes a 27 on her ACT. These are good things, but they are not the things that won Homecoming Queen in high school.

So let us hope that college is actually different from high school. Let us hope that I don't have to be the prettiest, most spirited girl on campus, and let us hope that a girl like me can be that "kind of girl" that wins Homecoming Queen.
